As part of a regional search for possible economic gold, copper and uranium deposits, exploration carried out within an area located approximately 100 km north-east of Streaky Bay township has consisted only of regional reconnaissance soil calcrete geochemical sampling. 90 samples were collected on a 1.6 km grid pattern, with some follow-up infill sampling done on 800 m grid spacing. The maximum gold-in-calcrete value returned was 2.07 ppb Au from a site in the north of the tenement, while a maximum copper value of 34 ppm Cu was recorded in the south of the tenement. Overall, the sampling results were of a low tenor and were deemed not to warrant further work. No dedicated on-ground uranium exploration was undertaken by farminee Quasar Resources before a decision was made to surrender tenure.
