From 1912 - 1939, 44 900 tonnes of auriferous gold ore with grade of 18.6 g/t Au were treated and the tailings stored on site, containing an indicated 35 400 tonnes of 3.62 g/t Au and 0.23% Cu. Cyanidation tests indicate that 101 600 g of gold can be recovered economically by simple cyanidation without further treatment. However, as the goldfield lies within the water catchment area, cyanidation will not be approved at this site.
