The Coompana Gravity Survey, a part of the Far West Discovery Program funded by the SA Government's PACE Copper initiative, was acquired by Atlas Geophysics between 23 January 2017 and 4 March 2017. The survey is comprised of 15,498 ground gravity readings taken at 13,792 individual station locations, which were incorporated into regular orthogonal grid patterns established at 500 m, 1 km, and 2 km scales. The survey extended from the Western Australian border eastwards across to the vicinity of the western Gawler Ranges. It was conducted with the assistance of two R44 helicopters. Three Scintrex CG5 gravity meters were used, as well as the Leica Geosystems GPS1200 system that enabled centimetre level positional accuracy of post-processed kinematic data points.
