During the period 26 September 2017 to 12 May 2018, parts of the MAURICE, OOLDEA, TALLARINGA and BARTON 1:250k map sheet areas were flown under contract to the SA Government and Geoscience Australia as part of the PACE Copper Gawler Craton Airborne Survey. The intent of this now fully completed survey overall was to capture approximately 1.8 million flight line km of new geophysical data (magnetic, radiometric and digital elevation model data) over an area of approximately 324,000 square km. The Region 1A survey coverage as completed has amounted to 146,285 line km, acquired using a fixed wing aircraft instrument platform. Flight paths consisted of principal east-west orientated survey lines spaced 200 m apart, tied by orthogonal lines spaced 2 km apart, and the geophysical data were read using a 60 m mean sensor height above the ground surface. In terms of product deliverables provided by the survey contractor, the aeromagnetic data include TMI, TMI reduced-to-pole, and 1VD of RTP TMI; the elevation data include models derived from radar altimeter and laser altimeter, subtracted from differential GPS heights; and the spectrometer data include dose rate, uranium, thorium, potassium and ternary (RGB) radiometric datasets. These digital data have been stored by the clients as either located XYZ data (ascii) or Grid Exchange Format (GXF) data presented via ERMapper grids or tif images.
