During intervals within the period 3 August 2018 to 26 June 2019, all of the KINGOONYA 1:250k map sheet area and the northern half of the GAIRDNER 1:250k map sheet area, plus adjoining small portions of the ANDAMOOKA and TORRENS 1:250k map sheets which cover ground surrounding and to the immediate north of Woomera, were flown under contract to the SA Government and Geoscience Australia as part of the PACE Copper Gawler Craton Airborne Survey. The intent of this survey overall is to capture approximately 1.67 million flight line km of new geophysical data (magnetic, radiometric and digital elevation model data) over an area of approximately 294,000 square km. The Region 9B survey coverage as completed has amounted to 149,476.74 line km, acquired using a fixed wing aircraft instrument platform. Flight paths consisted of principal north-south orientated survey lines spaced 200 m apart, tied by orthogonal lines spaced 2 km apart, and the geophysical data were read using a 60 m mean sensor height above the ground surface. In terms of product deliverables provided by the survey contractor, the aeromagnetic data include TMI, TMI reduced-to-pole, and 1VD of RTP TMI; the elevation data include models derived from radar altimeter and laser altimeter, subtracted from differential GPS heights; and the spectrometer data include dose rate, uranium, thorium, potassium and ternary (RGB) radiometric datasets. These digital data have been stored by the clients as either located data (ascii), ERMapper grids, or tif images.
