Commencing in 2019, TGS has been reprocessing South Australia’s extensive open-file 2D seismic database over the Cooper Basin, using their 2Dcubed technology to generate Pre-Stack Time Migrated and Pre-Stack Depth Migrated 2D and pseudo-3D outputs over the basin. Field data from 3855 lines of 2D seismic data acquired between 1985 and 2012 were used as inputs into the study, which is being undertaken with the support of Chevron Australia Pty Ltd. This download package contains workstation-ready 2D Pre-Stack Time-Migrated SEGY data for the seismic lines that were included in the reprocessing. It is expected that the full pseudo-3D PrSTM volumes and the PrSDM data will be available by mid 2022. Coordinates in trace headers reference GDA2020 / MGA zone 54. Time of First Sample (TFS) It is important to note that during the processing sequence, a bulk shift of 200ms was applied to the amplitude data immediately prior to stacking. The amplitude data therefore has time of first sample of -200 ms (in trace header byte location 105). However, because the stacking velocities were calculated, applied and exported prior to this point in the workflow, these have a TFS of 0ms in the trace headers. To align the velocity data correctly with the amplitude data, it should be loaded with a manually-entered TFS of -200ms.
