Bulletin, No. 20 of the series, dealing with another group of mines was published in 1942, and has proved a valuable source of reference in connection with the proposals for the further exploration of the fields concerned. In the case of the group of mines dealt with in the reports now submitted, most interest connected with the possible future of copper mining attaches to a portion of the Kapunda field on which little work has been done. A special interest has developed in relation to the Sliding Rock mine, near Beltana, on account of the presence in the mine of a large supply of good water which it is proposed to use in working the Leigh Creek Coalfield.
