A new generation, second edition MARREE 1:250 000 scale geological map and its explanatory notes have been published. These documents represent the conclusion of the Geological Survey of South Australia's latest geological mapping program (1993 to 1997) undertaken in the region, which resulted in the production of six digital 1:100 000 scale maps (Marree, Blanchewater, Appollinaris, Clayton, Tooncatchyin and Cooryanna). On-ground surveys were carried out primarily by Marigold R. White, Peter W. Reid and Malcolm J. Sheard, with occasional input from Graham W. Krieg, Neville F. Alley, Paul A. Rogers and Wolfgang V. Preiss.
