RB 00430 Development and exploitation of the Mount Victoria uranium deposit.

The tonnage of ore available for mining as at present indicated by diamond drilling is 107,900 tons, having an average grade of 6.0 pounds of U308 per ton. Allowing for dilution of the ore in mining it is estimated that the grade of ore delivered to the treatment plant will be 5 pounds of U308 per ton, and that the quantity will be not less than 125,000 tons. It is proposed that mining and treatment of the ore will be at the rate of 100 tons per day or 25,000 tons per annum. The life of the mine would then be five years. Assuming a recovery of 85% in the treatment plant the daily production of concentrates will be 21.25 tons containing 20 pounds of U308 per ton. The annual production would be 5,312 tons of concentrates containing approximately 47½ tons of U308.
