Nairne Pyrites Ltd reported that, when ore drawn from a recently developed area of the open cut was fed to the mill, a serious reduction in metallurgical efficiency occurred. A request was made that laboratory investigations be conducted to determine the reason for this sudden deterioration and to develop a flotation procedure suitable for the treatment of this new ore.
