This report gives preliminary details and estimated capital and operating costs for the planned possible treatment of kyanite-bearing ore in the Radium Hill mill. The estimated costs are based on the scale of treatment of ore required to produce 50 tons of mineral concentrate weekly, treating 140 tons per day of run-of-mine ore, estimated to contain 10% kyanite, on an 8-hour long day, 5 days per week basis. The capital cost estimates cover only those outlays necessary for equipment additional to that present in the existing Radium Hill plant. The operating costs do not include the costs of mining and transporting crude ore to the mill site, or the concentrate product shipping costs.
