A cable tool drilling investigation of the proposed route of the Moomba - Adelaide natural gas pipeline beneath the bed of the Port River at Taperoo was carried out to determine the nature of the soil horizons in which the pipeline will be buried, and to obtain minimally disturbed tube samples of these soils for laboratory testing.
