2 diamond drillholes (total 518 feet) and 22 air holes (total 1851 feet) have indicated the presence of 28.5 million tons of Lower Cambrian limestone containing over 85% calcium carbonate in a bed dipping at about 10 degrees southwards, and below overburden less than 20 feet thick. In addition, 9 million tons is inferred, down to a depth of 200 feet; and a further 6 million tons has been indicated or is inferred, under a cover of calcrete and weathered lower grade limestone ranging in thickness from 20 feet to 50 feet. Further drilling to the north is recommended to determine whether stratigraphically lower beds with little or no overburden conform to grade; and westwards along the strike where large additional reserves of high grade limestone are anticipated. The limestone fulfils the requirements of the specifications, except that the phosphorus pentoxide content is higher than the figure quoted.
