Petrophysical properties of rocks are an underutilised data set that is rarely routinely collected. With the recent advances in geophysical modelling there is now an increasing need to collect petrophysical data as a vital link between geophysical modelling and geological reality. The Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA) has collected and compiled petrophysical data from drillholes across the state with a particular focus on the eastern Gawler Craton where there is a greater number of data targeting iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) mineralisation.
