A new Bouguer Gravity grid of South Australia is now available for download via SARIG. Like previous grids, this 2024 version was created using the Supervised Variable Density Gridding process. It was created from over one million individual observations of the acceleration due to gravity throughout the state, and has been gridded to a 100m resolution. Bouguer Gravity provides an indication of the density of the subsurface, making it a valuable tool for the exploration industry, as well as for a variety of industries where there is need to image what is underground. In this report, a detailed processing workflow is presented, outlining the preparation required and an explanation of the entire process to generate the products.
