Of all known graphite deposits in South Australia, the only two which have any proved reserves of ore are those at Uley and Koppio. Exploratory diamond drilling by the Department of Mines is in progress at the Wilklow deposit, but sufficient work has not yet been done to decide the economic importance of the deposit. The Uley deposit is the only one from which ore has been mined during recent years and it has the only plant for treatment of graphite ore.
