The subject field excursion performed in August-September 2000 in part mimicked that held by the GSSA during September 1997, but included 6 additional stops programmed for Day 1 (31st August 2000) to examine Archaean geology at the southern tip of Eyre Peninsula. The relevant site descriptions for this part of the excursion form the body of this field guide document, augmented by an overall trip itinerary and a listing of participants and their movements.
