The Resource Assessment and Advice (RAA) team of the Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA) was approached by John Chesini of Chesini House Pty Ltd to provide feedback as to the suitability of stone within Mining Lease (ML) 6426 for the purpose of dimension stone. Archaean Sleaford Complex granitic gneiss outcrops within the tenement and to the south-east and north-west of the tenement. These exposures comprise variably weathered and jointed, pale grey and white medium-grained banded gneiss that is garnetiferous in parts. Outcrop within the tenement represents the eastern extension of exposures located to the west immediately adjacent to Waddikee Rocks. Outcrop within ML 6426 was briefly examined in May 2016, as were waste blocks of gneiss which remain in situ at a location 200 m to the east, these latter having been extracted from the adjacent now closed and rehabilitated dimension stone quarry formerly operated by Australasian Granite Pty Ltd on Extractive Mineral Lease (EML) 5608.
