In a continuing regional search for Proterozoic or Archaean basement-hosted base and precious metal deposits, 17 geochemical sampling traverses spaced at about 1 km intervals, and covering 34.5 line km of the Gawler Range Volcanics, Glenloth Granite and Mulgathing Complex outcrop, were completed in an area located 30 km south of Kingoonya. 681 rock chip samples and 28 stream sediment samples were taken and assayed. The statistically interpreted results gave little encouragement for further work.
