This dataset contains the results of exhaustive greenfields geophysical, geological and geochemical investigations carried out by 'modern' methods over the Wallaroo - Moonta mining district during 1948 by the Zinc Corp. and its US joint venture partners. The exploration tenement was surrendered at the end of that year, three months prior to its 2-year anniversary of grant, because the licensee then considered that the likely prospects of finding any high grade buried copper occurrences corresponding to merely vague surface indications were too low to justify the continued high expenditure on diamond drilling of such poorly defined targets.
