TARGET: Possible Irish Plains type carbonate-hosted base metals, and sylvite, hosted within the evaporite sequence of the Early Cambrian Observatory Hill Formation in the area immediately south of the Wilkinson Lakes. EXPLORATION: Two percussion drillholes for 691 m were completed over magnetic anomalies seen adjacent to the Karari Fault. Hole WL1 reached Precambrian basement at a depth of only 170.5 m, whereas hole WL2 drilled 2 km away to the west was still within ?Cambrian strata at its total depth of 520 m. RESULTS: No significant mineralisation was found, and the downhole sample metal assay values were very low.
