Energy overview, liquid fuels, coal and electricity, nuclear fuels and energy, solar and other sources of energy. Existing technology could reduce energy consumption by some 30% in western Europe. Initial capital investment for this invisible energy resource has a lower unit cost than new supplies when discounted over a reasonable economic life. Energy conservation must be developed as a business opportunity, and through improved education with complementary legislation, designed to make longer term investments more attractive to the populace. Suggestions for remedial action and energy conservation options are made.
