Continuing exploration for possible buried economic Tertiary sediment-hosted uranium deposits in the vicinity of Ifould Lake consisted of ground truthing of aerial radiometric anomalies by scintillometer surveys and chemical analysis of auger drillhole samples, followed by two campaigns of rotary drilling and gamma logging of the Tertiary sequence (43 holes for a total of 1677.9 m, including 37.65 m of coring). Photointerpretation of the probable trace of the basement-Tertiary unconformity was also carried out. No interpretive information has yet been provided about the success or otherwise of this drilling work, but the same area has been taken up for a further licence term.
