New work undertaken on an area located near Manunda Homestead during the current licence period has been restricted by the need to try to attract a joint venture partner, efforts towards which have proved unsuccessful. A geological inspection of the prospect and past copper workings, and related limited bedrock sampling for geochemical and petrological determinations, were separately carried out for two companies that professed interest in taking up an exploration share, but no report was furnished for the former exercise. Two lines of IP check surveying were completed by the licensee, and previously obtained semi-regional aeromagnetic data was re-interpreted for comparison with the IP results, leading to the recognition of three narrow fault zones which may have influenced the locus and timing of copper mineralisation.
