8 diamond drillholes totalling 1597 feet were drilled to test for buried lode extensions at the Avondale lead-zinc mine and for hydrothermal copper mineralisation possibly associated with diorite dykes at the Belliack prospect, where anomalous rock chip values to 0.69% Cu have been obtained from gossanous shaley outcrop. The latter location yielded oxide and minor sulphide mineralisation at depth in altered and leached vein deposits, but nothing of economic importance was revealed.
