Detailed follow-up to earlier regional stream sediment sampling, which had disclosed several robust kimberlitic garnet indicator anomalies in relatively featureless terrain, was successful in discovering three outcropping thin kimberlite sills in the vicinity of Sugarloaf Dam and the El Alamein Ranges south-west of Port Augusta. However, no diamonds were found from subsequent trenching and bulk sampling of these intrusions, so the licence was relinquished.
