In first survey (reconnaissance), 6 potential palaeochannels were outlined. 2 occur in the Low Stoney prospect. The second survey was over the projected path of the Yarramba Palaeochannel north from the Honeymoon deposit, to determine its path, shape and structure, and to attempt to isolate areas of alteration within channel sediments. Oxidized zones occur in the central part of the channel, with reduced zones either side, and rarely adjacent to the channel side. Minor indentations in the channel edge worthy of follow up were delineated. Basement rocks below the channel may be Cretaceous mudstone (in places carbonaceous). Harder siltstone zones were interpreted in the NW and NE corner and near the centre of the grid area. Precambrian schists are interpreted in the SE corner with EW basement fault through the middle of the survey area.
