245 soil geochemical samples collected over phyllites and quartzites in the Waukaloo mine area gave anomalous copper values centred over quartzites carrying small blebs of chalcopyrite. Rotary percussion drilling was recommended to test the bedrock beneath the two highest anomalies. 91 soil geochemical samples taken from a sampling grid laid out over copper stained metasediments located 6 miles south-west of Boolcoomata Homestead gave only uniformly low copper and zinc values.
