A series of lithostratigraphic interpretations of outcrop and drillhole sections (for SADME and Comalco holes) have been drawn up to assist in the production of a satisfactory palaeogeographic and stratigraphic model of the Officer Basin. 3 interpretations have been produced : 1. Lithostratigraphy near the Mt Johns Range (Byilkaoora 1, 2 and 3 to Mt Johns Range, composite section). 2. Lithostratigraphy of the Manya - Marla area (Marla 1B, Manya 2, 3 and 4). 3. A 3-dimensional projection showing all drilled stratigraphic sections in the pre-Carboniferous sequence. The second report analyses a recent palaeogeographic study of Cook (?1981).
