Initial bulk gravel sampling for diamond indicator minerals, and sampling of residual surface clays for base metals, returned negative results and only background values respectively. Subsequent rotary drilling of 3 holes (total 390 m), following acquisition of a gravity survey, failed to locate coal in the Mount Toondina Formation south of Commonwealth Hill. Anomalous gold values in bedrock drill cuttings samples from hole 82ABU2, and chromium values in stream sediment samples, were not repeatable by resampling.
