Exploration for possible economic stratabound gold in the basal Tarcowie Siltstone that was conducted within the Paratoo Anticline east of Yunta comprised geochemical sampling (70 stream sediment samples, plus 25 rock chip samples). Anomalous copper, arsenic and gold assay values were recorded from ironstone units, including one result of 1.7 g/t Au. A consultant's separate geological appraisal of the Winnininnie barite deposit downgraded its potential.
