Diamond exploration over an area 60 km west of Lake Eyre South included drainage heavy mineral sampling and a remote sensing study. Data from portion of a 1982 aeromagnetic survey by Aerodata-McPhar Pty Ltd for Stockdale, covering the southern portion of the licence area, was examined for prospective anomalies, and a Mesozoic sediment isopach map was constructed from previous drill hole data. Kimberlitic indicator minerals were recovered from 20 samples and included garnet, ilmenite and 1 grain of spinel.
