Exploration of a thick sequence of Middle Proterozoic sediments and volcanics deposited within the Moonabie Graben, and regarded as similar in age and tectonic setting to that seen at Olympic Dam, has comprised aerial magnetic, radiometric and INPUT EM surveys, a regional gravity survey, 1:25,000 and 1:10,000 scale geological mapping, geochemical sampling (rock chip, residual soil and stream sediment), petrographic studies of 20 of the 209 rock samples, and a radon emanometry survey. 2 percussion drill holes (total 640 m) were completed on magnetic anomalies to test an unconformity-related, possibly uraniferous talus breccia target horizon within the basal Corunna Conglomerate, without intersecting significant mineralisation. The radon survey gave negligible readings, mostly below detection limits. During mapping, a minor, previously undiscovered occurrence of metamorphic-type copper mineralisation was found in the Broadview Schist near Batchelor Dam.
