Continuing exploration in the Woomera area has included the acquisition of a ground magnetic and gravity survey over the Buller Dam anomaly, which lies on the western flank of the Acropolis aeromagnetic anomaly, and this work confirmed that the former lies on the flank of both the magnetic and gravity regional anomalies. A 304 m percussion precollared, vertical NQ/BQ diamond drillhole PPR5/SAP1 that was subsequently drilled at a location 700 m west of Buller Dam during September-October 1979 was terminated within Pandurra Formation at 1369.3 m depth. Magnetic susceptibility and density measurements were made on drill core samples of the various stratigraphic units intersected. A trial airborne magnetic / radiometric survey was flown along two orthogonal traverses over the Portulacca Ridge and Eucolo gravity anomalies in November 1980. In December 1980, a 700 station gravity survey was acquired over the Eucolo regional gravity anomaly, and it revealed a NNW trending, 5 mGal amplitude ridge - shaped gravity high anomaly, 3 km wide and 8 km long. Modelling of these surveys' data suggested that the source depth of the gravity anomaly lies at 1000 m, and that of the magnetic anomaly at 300 m, the latter thus possibly representing a magnetic horizon within the Gawler Range Volcanics, with denser basement present below the volcanic rocks. No drilling has yet been carried out on this anomaly. Most of EL 933, except for a small area around the Portulacca Ridge and Buller Dam Grid, was relinquished in August 1982.
