Exploration for stratabound copper deposits within potentially prospective Late Proterozoic host sedimentary rocks over an area of the southern Flinders Ranges comprised regional geochemical sampling and detailed (1:10,000 scale) geological mapping, plus 2163 m of traverse-based rotary drag and roller bit drilling, and 765 m of stratigraphic percussion drilling (4 holes). No geochemically anomalous strata were encountered, but fine-grained diagenetic pyrite was widespread below about 30 m depth.
