Exploration Licence 6287 (Peterborough), held by SA Exploration Pty Ltd, is located on the eastern Adelaide Fold Belt, approximately 70 km north of Burra on the margin of the Murray Basin. The area is dominated by Neoproterzoic rocks, where the presence of dolomitic rocks within fold structures encourages the focusing of mineralised fluids, while northwest-southeast structures are thought to act as controls on any fluids generated by intrusions.
