Exploration for possible diamond-bearing pre-Jurassic kimberlites and for Broken Hill type stratiform base metal occurrences in the Mount Isabella area, north-east of Cummins, comprised Sirotem, ground magnetic, gravity and 2783 line km of airborne magnetic/radiometric surveys, plus loam and stream sediment sampling, and RC drilling of only 3 of 12 identified aeromagnetic anomalies (3 holes, total 187 m). Stream sediment sampling at the Rosevale prospect, 8.5 kilometres north-west of Ungarra, yielded anomalous Zn and Pb with peak values of 162 and 70 ppm respectively, whereas Cu was low order (best value 24 ppm). No significant concentrations of kimberlitic indicators were detected, although possible kimberlitic ilmenites and garnets were found spread sporadically across the licence area.
