Exploration for possible nickeliferous ultrabasic rocks, over an area east of and adjacent to Kenmore Park Station, consisted of geological mapping, soil geochemistry, ground magnetic profiling, and limited shallow hammer drilling (9 holes, total 585 feet) into concealed Precambrian bedrock. Geochemical results were ambiguous due to poor sample control, deep weathering effects and thick alluvial cover over inferred intrusive basic dykes, but isolated very high copper values and elevated molybdenum (to 39.5 ppm) were noted, possibly as only fortuitous supergene concentrations.
