Diamond exploration undertaken near Cleve on eastern Eyre Peninsula comprised stream and loam mineralogical and geochemical sampling, the reprocessing of Pancontinental's 1979 aeromagnetic survey data, and the conduct of ground magnetic surveys and Sirotem surveys, trenching, RAB drilling (29 holes, total 830 m) and diamond drilling (94 holes, total 165 m). Ilmenite and spinel indicators were abundant, but no diamonds were recovered from drilling and trenching of three narrow kimberlitic dykes. Broken Hill style Pb-Zn mineralisation was also targeted in Hutchison Group rocks occurring north of Cleve. Exploration comprised soil and rock chip geochemical sampling, acquisition of ground magnetic, Sirotem, IP and gravity surveys, and diamond drilling (5 holes, total 2228 m) and RAB drilling (25 holes, total 1477 m). Anomalous values were reported from the Campoona prospect (best intercept 5 m at 1.14% Zn and 0.11% Pb). Large intersections of high manganese values peaking at 32% Mn were recorded at the Jamieson Tank prospect.
