Diamond and base metal exploration carried out north-east of Marla comprised gravel, soil and rock sampling, helicopter and ground magnetometry, RC drilling (7 holes, total 647 m) and an airborne EM survey. Chromite anomalies were located in the Christmas Well area, but no microdiamonds were found. The basalts intersected in the drillholes contained no indicators or base metal values.
