Ground magnetic, ground gravity and electrical geophysical surveys were carried out during base metal exploration of SAEI-identified structural and aeromagnetic anomalies located along the northern margin of Lake Gairdner, searching for epithermal Mount Gunson-type mineralisation, and possible kimberlites. RC aircore drilling (8 vertical holes, total 542 m) and diamond drilling (2 vertical holes, total 306 m) returned no anomalous sample assay results. Detrital chromite grains were detected at shallow depth in two holes on the Pascoe Well prospect, and the source for a large magnetic anomaly at the Pinery Dam prospect remains unexplained.
