This study has identified a model for syn-diagenetic base metal mineralisation in the Talisker Calc-siltstone. The sandstone - hosted stratiform mineralisation is dominantly lead-zinc in nature, and occurs within incised valley fills. The geological model is based on a genetic, sequence stratigraphic framework. Further work is recommended, including detailed mapping and geochemical investigation of principal mineralised localities at Mount Torrens, Red Creek and the Karinya Syncline.
