Exploration for Telfer-type gold-copper targets in the Manna Hill - Waukaringa region, located 300 km north-east of Adelaide, comprised making a detailed interpretation of 400 m flight line spaced 1995 SAEI aeromagnetic survey data, plus a review of previous exploration and mining reports, and afterwards, the conduct of regional surface geological mapping, rock chip geochemical sampling and BLEG stream sediment sampling. It was concluded that potentially gold-bearing vein structures are not readily distinguishable on aeromagnetic data images, and that any mineralisation awaiting discovery is likely to be of a small scale, based on the nature of past discoveries in the region.
