Exploration for possible large, potentially open cut - mineable disseminated quartz vein - type syngenetic gold and base metal deposits within a licence area located near Outalpa, 150 km south-west of Broken Hill, has comprised geological mapping, soil, rock and stream sediment sampling, costeaning, and rock sample petrography and mineragraphy. Shallow auger drilling (56 holes, total 1218 m) of mineralised reefs at Boomerang, the principal prospect, found only sub-economic gold concentrations present near the surface, mostly at grades < 2 g/t Au, with best values over a 2 m interval of 2.97 and 4.79 g/t Au. No significant base metal or silver values were recorded.
