Rock chip sampling of Proterozoic hydrothermally much altered ?volcanic basement outcrop in the vicinity of Mt Miccollo, 50 km west-northwest of Iron Knob, returned anomalous Cu, Pb, Zn and As values. A pronounced circular aeromagnetic anomaly, possibly caused by a colluvium-hidden Gawler Range Volcanics vent, was identified on airphotos and in the field, but has not yet been drilled. A joint venture agreement with Mount Isa Mines Ltd has now been signed, to more rapidly advance subsurface exploration across a number of Aberfoyle-held tenements in the region.
