In a search for possible sedimentary uranium deposits, over an area 50 km south-east of Yunta, no anomalous radioactivity was detected by an airborne scintillometer survey. Drilling and wireline geophysical logging of 10 rotary holes totalling 3205 feet, to look for extensions to radioactive Eocene lignites found in the adjoining SML 416 to the south, detected anomalous radioactivity in 3 holes. However, assays of drill cuttings samples taken from the anomalous intervals indicated only slight uranium mineralization.
