No anomalous base or precious metal geochemistry was detected during regional geological traverses and rock chip sampling of old mines and quarries, and of outcrops near magnetic low features evident from airborne geophysical data interpretation for the Palmer - Eden Valley area. This poor result, plus the observed monotonous sequence of metagreywacke country rock, have served to downgrade the prospectivity of the area for finding economic Pb-Zn or Cu-Au deposits associated with splay faults on regional shear structures.
