Exploration conducted in the Mount Pleasant - Tungkillo area included stream, soil and rock chip sampling, an airborne magnetic/radiometric survey, ground magnetic, gravity, IP and EM surveys, and drilling. These activities provided further delineation of the Mount Torrens, Marsupial Mouse and Pipeline lead-zinc prospects, with the best assays coming from downhole intersections at Mount Torrens of 10 m @ 3.3% Pb and 1.6% Zn; 3 m @ 5.6% Pb; and 3 m @ 2.4% Pb. Drilling comprised 10 diamond drillholes (total 2985 m), 28 percussion drillholes (total 2922 m) and 4 rotary mud drillholes (total 159 m). No significant gold was intersected by diamond drilling undertaken during February-March 1981 to test for possible lode extensions in the vicinity of the historic Kitticoola gold mine (4 drillholes, total 796.5 m).
