Exploration for Broken Hill style stratiform Zn-Pb-Ag and/or Roxby Downs - Cloncurry style discordant Cu-Au and Zn deposits, in the Bimbowrie - MacDonald Hill - Telechie Dam - Boolcoomata area, north-west of Olary, comprised ground magnetic and Sirotem surveys and stream sediment, rock chip and whole rock geochemistry. RAB drilling on magnetic targets (105 holes, total 175 m) returned up to 960 ppm Cu, with anomalous Co, P, As, and Mo, and maximum Au of 38 ppb from an alteration zone at Junction grid. Follow-up EM work located a well-defined conductor. Although additional aircore drilling (110 holes, total 1104 m) detected no obvious source for the Cu result, values of up to 2600 ppm Zn in schist adjacent to the alteration zone deserve further investigation. Anomalous Zn and Au in stream sediment samples from Wiperaminga Hill also warrant further work.
