As part of continued exploration over a 48% reduced licence area from prior EL 1416 (see Env 8585 for relinquishment report), 36 exploratory inclined RC drillholes (total penetration 3404 m) evaluated nine high-priority aeromagnetic targets, with some soil geochemical sampling and IP survey support. The drilling did not intersect any significant basement geochemical anomalism, prospective structuring, or evidence of widespread alteration systems, which it was hoped would have indicated the presence of potentially economic Au-Cu mineralisation. The cause of some of the magnetic anomalies tested was not resolved by drilling, suggesting that perhaps they have a thin magnetic source such as dykes.
